Hey. How's the weather where you are? It is going to get to 106 degrees in the Tri-cities today. I like extreme weather (unless it drops trees on my daughter! http://www.bladeofjiir.blogspot.com). When I take a picture today I wonder if I can capture a feeling of how hot it is. Maybe...

Pictures of Tahuya trip that Dave and I took with Sandra, Doug, Tyler, Andy/Sarah (and Toddog). Now I am back in the hot desert wanting a rowboat ride and an oyster or two.

And I'd like to play a fun game of "todos" on the deck. We never played dominoes in Herb's memory. Next time, ok?
Does the sunglasses photo look familiar? What fun!

Our time at the beach was not very sunny, well, not at all sunny... but we were comfy in our yurt. We played scrabble and ate overly well. And we had the company of the beautiful Kait.

Gene and I had a good trip to Oregon. First phase was Heather's graduation party. Such a lovely girl, family, day. That's Heather in the yellow with some of her squeaky friends. Lots of nice, interesting, hot people. (It was a hot day.) And don't forget, congratulations spelled backwards is "snoit a lutarg noc." That's Norwegian for.... well, I'll leave that to you and your own imagination! Whatever it is, it sounds like good advice, eh?

I am officially done with school for the summer. I, of course, need a few more minutes of clean-up time in my classroom. We had a good year - creativity and chaos and learning in good balance. If anyone wants to pass on art project plans for next year, I'm now in planning mode. Thanks.

Danny and the dog.... ah, what a pair of wild animals!

Me and my cat, Butterscotch, sitting in the shade on a sunny morning... Life is good here in the humble home of the Roseberrys.

I'm wet today... rode my bike to work in the sunshine and had to ride home in the rain. actually that was a perfect combo of downhill in the sunshine and uphill with the cooling rain. i feel bad, bad, bad for the cherry people; this is the week they definitely didn't want rain on the ripening fruit. yikes!
