Well.... I'm not going to try to update... too many occasions/events. There was much hugging and eating and laughing and crying and sitting on porches and just generally "gathering." I didn't take photos of the solemn times. The message of the times was "take care of yourselves and enjoy!" We did.

Gene has finished one short week of his summer job. I think his building is "cute"; don't know if you can see, but it says on the front "office of river protection."

This other photo I am calling "trees going wading." The river was very high yesterday when I went to get Gene. I wonder if river protection extends to riverside trees!

Well, I seem to be done with another school year... at least the kids are gone and all that's left is the room clean-up!! Maybe I'll be done with that by September!

What a great friend! So wonderful (that's a mom phrase) to have Sandra visit on Sunday/Monday....everything from "helping" in my classroom to taking a sunny walk to lunch, to spending too much clothes shopping, to playing some spirited mario kart!! And best, she is enormously helpful in the make-artworks-into-cards department. We really cram a lot in, don't we?

I don't think Michaela likes the jellyfish/seaweed salad.... but Kaitlin looks reservedly optimistic/open minded.

My wonderful mother died on Sunday.... quietly, peacefully. Such warmth and love and joys she brought to me over the decades! Can't help smiling over that. xoxo
