Here is a twist on the holiday photo I posted earlier. It's entitled "where's butterscotch?" Can you find him? hehe

Doesn't this look like Americana Christmas with the Roseberries?! We had a very nice one.... more updates soon... and there is plenty of fudge and cookies and candy around here if you'd like to come help us eat!

gosh. here it is Christmas eve eve and I don't have my camera to record the festivities. And today is a snowy, pretty day here. I rode my bike past goats and sheep and horses, etc. It always surprises me how rural this town is.... I mean you go one way and there's a Starbucks!! Go the other way and civilization dwindles. hey, happy merry days, all.

I feel lucky to have such an interesting, eclectic, fun and caring group of g'friends. We had a fine party last night with more than a little silliness and a bit of posing. xoxo

What a holiday treat! Elizabeth (my surrogate granddaughter) took me to the Nutcracker. What an extravaganza! I had not seen this local production, and I was very impressed --- gorgeous sets, wonderful costumes, great dancing (+ one funny mess-up where the prima got almost dropped and then straddled like in an oklahoma hello!). And E. is not only beautiful, but totally fun. We did some good eating and saw lots of pretty lights; tonight was the lighted boat parade, so we caught a little bit of that. It even snowed a few flakes as we came out of the show, just to give us that total winter experience. Very special. Sigh.

Well here's a cute and slightly creepy picture. Hot dog on a bun! Where's the mustard?

We got a beautiful and fragrant tree. It is not decorated yet; that takes a while and I haven't had a while for a while. It has the lights on so far and one box of ornaments... so I'll be sure to show it to you when I'm done. If I stall long enough, Martha might be home in time to help me!

Only one ski trip so far.... but that's one more than last year!! Dave and I had a very fun day at Bluewood, and the camera was in the car.... so. Think snow everyone! Next time I'll carry a cam and take pictures of the gorgeousness.

Lights, more lights, lights galore. And, too lazy to get out the tripod. I'll take some steady tripod pictures when we're all finished.

I took these pictures a week ago, before I started really messing things up with all my 4.6 tons of junk!

Can't quite believe that I haven't posted recent pictures of my new classroom. I've had every item spread across every surface for a week... trying to sort and purge and organize. I finally did have to just shove some stuff into boxes into cupboards... sigh. I'll take a picture when I
get to work tomorrow, so you can all see the finished product; sorry you missed the big mess! Tomorrow is the first day of classes in our new space and I'll be gone... ugh. And there are only 2 weeks until our Christmas break, so I hope the sub can be productive!!

Another couple of pictures of Thanksgiving and the day after. Mom is so high tech, so modern with her 1880's coffee grinder. And too bad SOS is so camera shy, eh?
