Wow! Did anyone ever have a cuter baby???? I think not! Happy Birthday, Martha. sigh.
Trip to McMinnville was very fun. Too bad I didn't take pictures of people, as quite a few crossed my path. I did take a few of some of the other roommates, but they're on Gene's camera. Perhaps you'll see them there some day.

I had a fun time in Portland last evening. I miss urban living. Everything's so right there! And I mean EVERYTHING! (except, i suppose, peace and quiet. and i know there are pockets of that to be had/made as well.)

On the day before Martha left we got pedicures, went to lunch with Elizabeth and Maryska (and had flaming saganaki!) took a chilly but fun bike ride along the river and Mar made cookies and packed! sigh. now she's gone.... back doing great things!

The burning hut was an odd attraction at the ski slopes. The guys kept throwing fuel on it to make it burn bigger/faster. It was an awfully cold day, but this was an extreme way to get warm!

I know these are blurry photos, but my targets would not stand still. We had such a fun day! And about 1/2 hour after I put the camera away the day got beautiful... first with patches of blue sky and rays of sun, then totally clear with shiny vistas and sparkly, floaty flakes drifting down. I love the mountains and the snow! ... and of course I LOVE Dave and Mar! (and Gene but he was busy working away at school... too bad; you should've been there!)
