Last week Kristine and I traveled through the rolling hills of the Palouse to fetch Martha home for a longish weekend. We stayed over in her frat room, rode bikes early, visited her lab, had lunch with Adam the Delightful . We had a good time, even though the mad scientist had a long and bad day.... that's a long story, for Mar to tell someday. It was a day for mishaps... we had to drive home with my muffler sitting on the axle... that's another story, too.

Well, who'd have thought that a work party could be so much fun! We enjoyed sterling company (even though we missed those who couldn't make it due to classes, airline sewage, work or other), good food, splendid weather and fine feelings of accomplishment.

hmm... I usually don't put up lots of pictures... seems to take too long and sometimes doesn't work at all. but I don't have anything much to say, so I'll just put up some photos of some of my favorite people (and creatures). I labeled this creature a loon? but I think it might be a grebe. Anybody know? Martha and Kristine are in before and after hairdying pictures. And Gene and the guys on graduation day minus one roommate, John. I never all year got the five of them all together for a photo op.

Well, I was back from McMinnville for 3 days and now I'm in Pullman in a frat house on a hill! I'm in the computer lab wishing I had a picture to post... I'll steal Mar's camera in a little while and take some pix of her summer digs. And then hopefully home in time for some graduation parties tonight... Paterson, Prosser and Kennewick (wonder how I'm going to do all those!)
