Here is the promised picture of the purple eyebrow. Bruising is one thing Mom's always been good at! She's also become quite the accomplished artist; hey, sos, we used some of your rhubarb to dab on some spring blossoms!

We stopped to see Gene on the way here. He is looking glorious these days! I forgot to snap a picture so he obligingly sent me this one. Dave and I are in Sammamish for the weekend. I'm doubly glad he came as he was available to help me get Mom back on her feet in the middle of the night when she lost her balance and fell down in the bathroom.... =0(..... nothing broken, but now she has a pretty purple eyebrow! (picture later)

I don't know why I never think to take any pictures during my encounters with EF... it might make chronicling easier. Last get-together was eventful. Between us we managed a haircut, a painting purchase, a cilantro-riddled dinner and a waitress very patient with a fussy patron!, a strong cuppa, a first visit, a dog poop incident, a hilly walk, a locked out, a lost hollow rock, an insecure back yard!, a left behind cell phone, a return for the left-in-her-coat-pocket charge card, a very fun time feeling somewhat senile together, and a loooonnnng trip home. But, I figured out later that we really aren't senile or ill-fated. On the contrary, all this was carefully fated to keep me out of the huge accident on 520 in which I would have surely perished if not for all the twists and delays. Oh, my... what a post! Well, Betty will know what I'm rambling about... did I leave anything out? Are you engaged yet to your yard man? =0)

Mom and I have been painting together. It has been very fun and rewarding for me for the most part.... except when her paintings turn out WAY more creative and interesting than mine! And she really enjoys the thought of having made something... especially something beautiful.

Kitty is all bones and hair these days. I'm reluctant to brush him, although he really needs a good spring cleaning, as I don't want him to be looking so old and frail. =0( He is still good at looking cute and sleeping!
